Brighton’s unique French music festival returns…
Melanie Pain, Punks Jump Up, Housse De Racket, Chapelier Fou + more.
From 27th-29th January 2011, Melting Vinyl, in association with Bureau Export and Led Inrockuptibles, welcomes to Brighton an impressive collection of French musicians for the third annual Vive La France! Festival. Making its home in the bohemian and cosmopolitan North Laines, four venues will provide outlets for an electric mix of explosive indie/pop, enchanting chanson and French-infused world music guaranteed to impress both connoisseurs and newcomers to the scene.
In addition to the music, no showcase of French culture would be complete without a celebration of the Gallic art of food and wine. Providing the gastronomic flavour to Vive La France! 2011 are relaxed French bistro Mange Tout on Trafalgar Street and the new venue to enjoy wine, beer and bites, Plateau in Bartholomew Square, also home to festival’s intimate after hours DJ sets. These venues will provide audiences and artists alike with a taste of France to accompany the feast of music on offer.
