One of Brighton’s largest free community street festivals; The Kemp Town Carnival will be taking place on Saturday June 9th, showcasing a diverse and spectacular range of art and entertainment from some of Brighton’s finest musicians playing over four live stages, including the mighty Kalakuta Millionaires, jump jive action from the Fat 45, the amazing Derriere and the Legendary John Crampton;
With fantastic fun for all ages; including live street performance, dance troupes and Samba bands, community games, a wonderful range of market stalls, great food and drink, the grand Custard Pie Fight, community choirs, break dancing, live street art, Tug’o’War, fantastic Children’s entertainment, magicians, workshops and fairground rides…2012 really is going to be a fantastic year for Kemp Town Carnival….
The Arts council funded Maco De Vaca Louca will be running amuck during the day so look out for this wildly colourful, anarchic Carnival street theatre troupe! The Mad Cow is coming!!
