The Guest Artistes for the 2010 Tour of Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds – Alive on Stage! have been announced as:
Moody Blues’ JUSTIN HAYWARD, Atomic Kitten’s LIZ McCLARNON, X-Factor’s RHYDIAN, Manfred Mann’s CHRIS THOMPSON and singing sensation JASON DONOVAN
Jeff Wayne will conduct the 10-piece Black Smoke Band & 36-piece ULLAdubULLA Strings
The award-winning extravaganza includes:
- 11-foot high 3D photo-real hologram of Richard Burton
- 3-tonne, 35-foot tall Martian Fighting Machine firing Heat Rays at the audience & scanning them with its bug-like eyes
- 100-foot wide by 25 foot high screen projecting a new 2-hour CGI-animated movie in perfect sync with the performances
- Special Effects including Illusion, Pyrotechnics, Leaf Drops, and Flame Effects
- Music and sound effects mixed live in surround sound
