Micky Flanagan at the Brighton Centre!

Micky Flanagan – one of British comedy’s biggest stars – will travel the length and breadth of the UK & Ireland for what will be the most anticipated comedy tour of 2013, taking in 57 shows on the way.

Starting next February and coming to the Brighton Centre on Thursday 9th May, 2013, the ‘Back In The Game’ tour follows on from the huge critical and commercial success of last year’s ‘Out Out’ tour where over 200,000 tickets were sold and all 150 dates a sell out.

The DVD – ‘Micky Flanagan Live: The Out Out Tour’ — has been the number 1 selling stand up DVD in 2012 with his show stealing performances on the small screen earning him a prestigious British Comedy Award nomination and The Sun’s Comedian Of The Year Award.

Micky has appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats – amongst others – and next year will cement his reputation as one of the superstars of British Stand Up.

Award winning Beautiful thing Brighton for 1 week only!

Celebrating its twentieth anniversary year, and direct from the West End, the award winning Beautiful Thing by Jonathan Harvey comes to Brighton for one week only. This uplifting and heart warming new production is directed by Nikolai Foster, designed by Colin Richmond and stars Suranne Jones as Sandra.

Beautiful Thing is a glorious urban love story between two young men coming to grips with their sexuality and the effect it has on the people in their lives.

Suranne Jones will star as Sandra, Jamie’s mother. Suranne is best known for her role as Karen McDonald in Coronation Street and DC Rachel Bailey in Scott & Bailey. Her other television roles include the human Tardis in Dr Who, A Touch of Cloth, and The Secret of Crickley Hall. Her stage credits include Top Girls, Blythe Spirit and A Few Good Men.

Jonathan Harvey is a regular writer on Coronation Street, and wrote hit TV series Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Beautiful People. His stage work includes Canary, Corrie! and Closer to Heaven, as well as the best-selling 2012 novel All She Wants.

Some of the Sea Spray team will be going along to this fantastic show.

The May Day Bank Holiday sees the return of the amazing food festival this year on the Hove Lawns on Brighton’s seafront.  It has pop up restaurants like Jamie’s Italian and Dermot O’Leary’s Fishy Fishy as well as celebrity chefs performing live demonstrations and workshops!  There are 100 food and drink producers also offering their culinary delights and some great cocktail making master classes!  Tip:  If you subscribe to Travel zoo as a Brighton subscriber you get 50% off the tickets and a show guide!  Running Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th.  The Sea Spray team are offering 15% off all room rates on Friday 3rd May so you can get to the festival bright and early Saturday morning!

Sea Spray is pleased to announce Emeli Sandé at the Brighton Dome this Friday evening!

As Britain’s brightest star of 2012, Emeli Sandé was chosen to play a prominent role in the 2012 London Olympics; the only artist invited to perform at both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. That occasion is marked on this Special Edition of ‘Our Version Of Events’ with the inclusion of ‘Imagine’, Emeli’s cover of the John Lennon classic, commissioned by the BBC for use in their footage of the final day of the Olympic Games. It also includes stunning tracks with Naughty Boy (Wonder) out today and Labrinth (Beneath Your Beautiful)  and read all about it with professor green

Emeli continues her remarkable year with a sold out tour throughout November including a show at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Emeli is also nominated for the Best Solo Artist at the Q Magazine Awards which are being held today in London.
